Take a shuttle or bus from Flores to the border town of Melchor de Mencos, walk across the bridge, and complete immigration formalities on both sides. The entire process takes about 60 to 90 minutes depending on queue lengths.

Get to the border. Take a shared shuttle or the 'Fuente del Norte' public bus from Flores/Santa Elena to Melchor de Mencos. It takes 2.5 hours. Ask the driver to drop you at the 'frontera' (border), which is about 2km past the town center.
Exit Guatemala. Walk to the Guatemalan immigration office. Pay the exit fee of 20 Quetzales (keep your receipt) and get your passport stamped out.
Cross the bridge. Walk across the bridge over the Mopan River into Belize. You will see the Belizean immigration complex immediately on your right.
Enter Belize. Present your passport and your onward travel plans or proof of accommodation. Pay the exit fee if leaving Guatemala was just the start—Note: if you are entering Belize for tourism, ensure you have your hotel reservation or address ready.
Continue to your destination. Walk outside to the taxi stand. Taxis to San Ignacio cost roughly 10-15 USD. Alternatively, walk 10 minutes to the main road to catch a local bus heading toward San Ignacio or Belize City.
