Booking a Qatar Airways Stopover: How to Save on Doha Hotels
Book your stopover through the official Qatar Airways Discover Qatar website after you have purchased your flight ticket. You must have a confirmed transit time of at least 12 hours in Doha to be eligible for these discounted hotel rates.
- Confirm your flight booking. You need a PNR (6-character booking reference) for a flight that transits through Doha with a layover between 12 and 120 hours. Do not attempt to book the stopover before your flight is confirmed.
- Visit the Discover Qatar portal. Go to the Discover Qatar 'Stopover' page. Select the 'Book Now' option and enter your surname and PNR booking reference.
- Select your hotel category. Choose between Standard (4-star), Premium (5-star), or Luxury (5-star beach/resort). Prices are fixed based on the category, typically starting at $14 for 4-star and $20 for 5-star properties per night.
- Finalize and pay. Complete the payment online. You will receive a separate confirmation voucher for your hotel stay, which you must present at the hotel check-in desk.
- Can I book a stopover if my layover is less than 12 hours?
- No. The system will not allow you to select a hotel if your transit time is shorter than 12 hours. You must have at least 12 hours to qualify for the discounted rates.
- Does the price include breakfast?
- Most of the Discover Qatar stopover rates are room-only. You will need to pay extra at the hotel if you want to add breakfast to your stay.
